The International Institute of Knowledge Management, is organizing an international conference on Art and Humanities from 27th to 28th September 2018 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, under the theme “ Mapping the Values of Arts and Humanities for Future Generations ”.

The 5th International Conference on Arts and Humanities 2018 is an intercontinental event which is integrated by worldwide collaborations and well renowned intellectual key profiles of the Arts and Humanities.

The gathering seeks to help artists to enhance their research career and expand the universal creations of Arts with thousands insights around the globe.

There is an online registration on the conference website, and a call for abstracts has already been posted on the site (https://fineartsconference.com/) for those who would like to make presentations.

SAFOD sees this international gathering as yet another platform where persons with disabilities in Southern Africa involved in arts and crafts may take the opportunity to raise awareness about inclusive arts and crafts in the region.

So far, there is no scholarship information about participation for persons with disabilities, but SAFOD may be willing to provide information about any potential scholarship or funding should we come across such information.

We would like to see more and more people with disabilities participating at such conferences, as we welcome any offers from partners that may be willing to support creative artists with disabilities who have unique artefacts and/or crafts to showcase but do not have the means to travel and stay at this conference.
